Alor's Dive Sites

The rugged slopes that dominate Alor's landscape are just as influential below the waves. Plunging walls and rocky crevices interspersed with sandy slopes and boulder fields provide a perfect mix of environments for a spectacular array of wildlife.

Large schools of fish surge over some of the healthiest and most diverse reefs in Indonesia, whilst blacktips, trevally and tuna patrol for a bite to eat.  Cryptic muck-dwellers hide in plain sight and in the blue there is a chance of eagle rays, hammerheads, mola and thresher sharks.

The deep channels that contribute to the notoriously strong currents swirling around the archipelago also form an important migratory corridor, so for the very lucky few there may even be a chance to see a blue whale.

It's no wonder our motto is EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED

The Alor Islands Marine Park has an abundance of dive sites (over 70 at the last count) and Lazy Turtle Dive is located in the heart of the action.
