A queen sized bed under a mosquito net inside a thatched bungalow.

Marankgi Kepa Bungalows viewed by drone. The picture shows a stripe of rich dark blue deep water, a stripe of turquoise reef, a stipe of white sand, and then the pale brown dry season grass dotted with green trees and the four thatched bungalows.

Alorese Cuisine
As evidenced by Tamar's expanding waistline, Alorese cuisine is "enak sekali" (delicious). Our wonderful cooks prepare meals from ingredients bought at the twice weekly local market and have an extensive repertoire of dishes for you to enjoy. We usually serve rice with one fish or chicken dish (unless all guests are vegetarian) and a selection of tempe, tofu, egg and seasonal vegetable dishes. Personal favourites include Jatung Pisang (banana flowers), Sambal Goreng (fried peanuts and tempe), Pare (bitter melon, a divisive one that Tamar loves and Nico hates) and Pakis (fern tips, another one that only Tamar likes). Please let us know in advance if you have any dietary restrictions.
If Marangki Kepa isn't for you we can also help you book a room at
